Virgilio Martinez is the most recognized Peruvian chef in the world. Virgilio’s restaurant is in the top 4 according to Chefs Choice Award.
He and his team of biologists travel around the country looking for new ingredients never used in any kitchen recipe, which makes his restaurant so unique and makes thousands of people from all over the world come to enjoy it.
This is the opposite of the reality of Peru, which due to the lack of food makes its population suffer from malnutrition, anemia and lack of a balanced diet.
This idea meant that gourmet food could help those who needed to eat the most, the poorest people in Peru.
